Why cold process
Less rushing.
More attention to the formula.
Cold-process soap begins with oils and a carefully calculated lye solution. During saponification, the oils and alkali react to form soap while glycerin is naturally created within the batch.
We do not describe real handmade soap as “lye-free.” Lye is essential to soap making; what matters is accurate calculation, controlled processing, complete saponification and adequate cure.
For Floreva, the formula is considered as a whole: oil profile, superfat, water, fragrance, colour, additives, bar weight and the experience the finished bar is meant to deliver.
Measured precisely
Every recipe depends on oil-specific SAP values, supplier assay, controlled weighing and repeatable processing.
Given time
After unmoulding and cutting, the bars are cured before release. The calendar is part of the making process.

Is handmade cold-process soap “lye-free”?
No. Lye is required to make real soap. Correct calculation, controlled saponification and cure are what matter.
Why does a cold-process bar need curing time?
Curing allows the bar to lose excess water and develop its final handling and use characteristics. The exact cure requirement depends on the formula and process.
